   accept walk-ins at this time

PERSONAL PROTECTION

AT ALL TIMES (Yes, really) Staff and Members are required to wear masks at all times while in the facility, unless they are eating (e.g., in a designated area, such as a café apart from the exercise area), drinking, or in an aquatic setting (e.g., pool, individual shower). Acceptable face coverings for COVID-19 include cloth-based face coverings and disposable masks appropriate for exercise that cover both the mouth and nose. Bandanas, buffs, and gaiters are NOT ACCEPTABLE face coverings for use in gyms and fitness centers. VENT Fitness reserves the right to refuse admission to or remove ANYONE who does not wear an acceptable face covering. Please see here for specific mandates.

Working out with a mask may feel different at first, but at this time, there is no compelling data to suggest a loss of oxygen during workouts involving an appropriate face covering. See what the American Lung Association has to say about masks >

VENT Fitness has a small quantity of double-layered cotton masks available for sale in the event that you do not have one. VENT Fitness must adhere to New York State mandated rules, and as such will turn away anyone who refuses to wear or is unable to procure a mask.

CONTACT TRACING

In order to properly monitor capacity and to help the state and local health officials track cases, it is imperative that members check-in and check-out of the facility.

Once local health officials contact management, VENT Fitness gathers all pertinent information to assist in establishing a timeline of interaction, such as check-in and check-out times, as well as camera reviews for in-club activities, including the wearing of masks, the entry certification, and the amount of time spent in each zone of the facility.

VENT Fitness will remain in close contact with health officials to both trace exposure and ensure the continued safety of all members and staff.

Local health officials will advise members on an individual basis as to their specific protocol. Basic guidelines are below:

Before issuing a mandatory quarantine, health officials consider the duration of interaction with the infected individual.

  • A COVID positive person is considered Person A. This party is placed under mandatory isolation and is monitored by the SCPHD daily.
  • A person in prolonged, direct contact with Person A is considered Person B. These parties are placed under mandatory quarantine and are monitored by the SCPHD daily.
  • A person in contact with an individual classified as Person B is considered Person C, and no action is recommended unless Person B becomes symptomatic and is confirmed positive.
  • Please add your local Public Health Department phone number to your contacts to ensure it will register
